Oxfordshire Sexual Abuse and Rape Crisis Centre
Placement
Further information
We are a feminist organisation committed to supporting survivors of sexual abuse, rape, domestic abuse, and harassment. We offer a free and confidential service to survivors who are dealing with the effects of sexual violence, and to anyone who is supporting them.
All of our services support self-identifying women and non-binary individuals recorded female at birth, but some of our services support other genders as well.

Placement requirements
We will usually require counselling trainees to have gained 40 hours clinical experience in a supervised placement. However if you feel you have appropriate experience in another setting then please feel free to apply, explaining in your application how this experience impacts your counselling practice, and we will consider your application at our discretion. Full training in supporting survivors of sexual violence is provided; volunteers must be able to commit between 12-18 hours of time per month for at least 18 months. If you satisfy these criteria, there is also the possibility of helping to facilitate one of our support groups.
Please email volunteering@osarcc.org.uk with questions or download our information pack: Information for potential counselling volunteers. If you’d like to apply for any roles, please see the online form below.
