Qualifications
Perhaps you are going through a tough time and would like to speak with someone in confidence. Maybe life is not fully great right now and you'd like support. Perhaps you just want someone to listen to what is going on for you, to explore and help make sense of things. I would like to help.
I am a person-centred counsellor/psychotherapist based in the Tooting area in Southwest London, United Kingdom (Tooting SW17). I work in person in my counselling room, online/by phone, and also outdoors in nature. I offer a safe, accepting, understanding, and non-judgemental space to help explore what is going on for you at your own pace. Such a space can be just what is needed sometimes. I offer an opportunity to speak initially to introduce myself and to answer any questions you may have.
My qualifications are:
- Certificate in Counselling Skills (City Lit, London)
- Diploma in Practitioner Counselling, Person-Centred Approach (City Lit, London)
- Advanced Post Diploma in Person-Centred Couples Counselling (Counselling Works, Milton Keynes)
- MA Counselling and Psychotherapy (University of East London, London)
- Form and Freedom: Person-Centred Supervision Training (ongoing)
Additional Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Training:
- An introduction to Autism (Counselling Works, Milton Keynes, 2018)
- Group facilitation (City Lit, London, 2019)
- Equine Assisted Therapy (Sarah Paton Briggs, Wiltshire, and Sarah Urwin, Devon, 2016 & 2019)
- Outdoor therapy (Sarah Urwin, Devon, 2019)
- Trauma, the Brain and Recovery (MindBody Breakthrough, 2020)
- Mental Health First Aider, MHFA England (Siren Training, 2022)
In addition to my private practice I work as a counselling tutor and supervisor.
