I have been counselling since 2007 and supporting people in distress for around twenty years. Respecting each individual's inner potential and working within the core conditions has been important to me since I first learnt about the Person Centred approach in the late 1990s. I have worked in mental health with a non pathologising approach and this remains important to me. I care deeply about listening to the uniqueness of the individual's experience and believe in the power of empathy to support people to move forward and empower themselves in their own way. I am committed to working in a non oppressive way, to attempting to continuously challenge my own prejudices and am open to being challenged on this.
