There will be opportunities to ask questions, to contribute to discussion and to interact with others as we pause for coffee and lunch. Insights are offered from a variety of rich sources but the person-centred approach will shine through to underpin and bind these elements together.

Les’ original training was psychodynamic and over the years he has evolved, via many of the major approaches, into the committed person-centred counsellor he now is.
Drawing from this experience, and on the wisdom of such giants as Melanie Klein, John Bowlby and Carl Rogers, he will use the day to explore the worlds of Object Relations and Person-Centredness, with an emphasis on the importance of giving and receiving love. We will consider the influence of our experiences (growthful as well as inhibiting) on the formation of our personalities, and on those of our clients.
We will then look at how it is never too late and how the provision of unconditional love can enable growth: freeing our clients (and us) to become the person they (and we) were intended to be.
