Sat 10th 10am – 5pm Sun 11th 9am - 4pm

Weekend workshop and training for counsellors who wish to gain knowledge and experience of counselling young people informed by the BACP Competencies. This experiential course is about engagement and context and will explore the differences between counselling young people and adults, looking at neuroscience, physical and social development, and the impact of the modern world. Each day will have a balance of theory and practice with a focus on linking to our collective experience of work with young people.

The YPC fosters a sense of community and encourages a network of practitioners who are passionate about helping young people find their way from selfies to self-actualisation. Your own inner young person is a welcome and an essential part of the training in learning what helps and hinders counselling young people.

Facilitators:

Alistair Mayor & Sian Jones, both experienced trainers, counsellors and supervisors of work with young people.

Cost for the weekend £235 or early bird price £200 by the end of September.
